Heat pumps: installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of heat pumps. Heat pumps are a rapid growth industry in low carbon technology. Air to Air, Air to water and ground source heat pump systems can be used for a variety of uses providing hot water, heating and cooling demands of buildings. Course Syllabus
This course is intended for operatives with good hands on knowledge of plumbing and building services. Candidates are assumed to have the awareness core unit in environmental awareness. A certificate in unvented hot water systems is a mandatory requirement to access this course. Candidates not holding this certificate can enrol onto these modules first. We require candidates that enrol on this course hold a recognised plumbing or heating qualification at level two. This course covers the use of heat pumps, site location, design of systems. sizing calculations for heat pumps, installation methods, commissioning systems and maintenance of systems.
